Christmas in August!

I am a writer who loves to listen to music while I'm writing. I will create playlists which inspire me as I'm plotting and writing. It really helps me get into the right headspace. If you follow the link at the bottom of the page, you'll find the link for the Navigate by Stars playlist.

My current issue is that my new WIP is a festive whirlwind story. Covering just a three week period over Christmas and New Years, it tells the story of Nerina and Luke. Nerina is visiting the English country manor house, Warren Hall for the holidays and meets Luke, otherwise known as Reverend Luke Mathews. There's a lot of sneaky kisses and a few steamy scenes in the church. Maybe a scene in a car... But it's all over Christmas which means I should be listening to carols for the next month.

The sun is still shining, and autumn isn't even here yet! Surely it's too soon to put on the festive playlists?

Or does being an author give me creative license to be a little eccentric?
