Happy New Year!

Hello lovelies.
It's finally 2026, and it's a big one for me as I turn 40. I've never been bothered about getting old, even if I did try to battle with the grey hairs for many years. Last summer, I started the process of letting the silvers go free, and I'm honestly obsessed with how they look. Basically, I have hair tinsel all year round.
New Year's is an excellent time to think back, to practise a little self-reflection. Over the last year, I've been on a bit of a journey of discovery when it comes to my health. I have a chronic pain disorder thanks to some nerve damage, which has been affecting my mobility for several years. Over the last 12 months, I've been taking better care of myself, and I'm slowly getting back to how I was pre-2020. There are still tough days, ones where every muscle in my body hurts, but they are decreasing.

Professionally, I've loved working with other authors as a developmental editor. The joy of delving into the worlds they are creating, puzzling out the issues with their stories until they have something ready for people to devour. I'm hoping to open up my books to more writers over the coming months, offering a personalised service to romance authors.
I released two books last year, and they couldn't be more different from each other. First, there was Single Again, a sweet but spicy friends-to-lovers story that I wrote for a friend. Theo and Hazel's story is one of longing and self-discovery, of acceptance and big love. I adore them so much, and it was a joy to bring them to life. Secondly was Her Dragon Prince, my first paranormal romance with dragon shifters. This one started as somewhere to plonk all the useless knowledge I've accumulated over the years about the British Royal Family. I love Alex & Lily so freaking much, and can't wait for more of the world to unravel over the coming books.

The plan is to have the first draft of His Human Princess, the sequel to Her Dragon Prince, finished by April. I've already booked in my editor and set up the pre-order, so hopefully that's the kick up the arse I need. I am also sitting on The Iceni's Scorn, which was actually finished two years ago, but I've not releasedit yet. I'm going through it at the moment, and have amazing new covers for The Iceni's Curse.
For events, I'm signed up for four this year. I'll post more information in the coming weeks. It would be amazing to see some of you there. Two are in London, one in Essex and the other in Swansea!
For my New Year's resolution, I'm going to concentrate on building up my brand and remembering that I need to think about this as a real business. I have a small back catalogue, even if it is the physical reflection of my ADHD, I just need to find my readers!
I hope 2026 is an amazing year for you all, and thanks for sticking with me.
Jac xx
